Ducati Superbikes are the standard by which pure sports motorcycles are judged the world over.
Their revolutionary design and impeccable fit and finish evoke passionate debate amongst
motorcyclists wherever they are the topic of conversation.
For the enthusiast with no interest in compromise, a Ducati Superbike represents the pinnacle of
Style, Sophistication and Performance.
Ducati 748
For 1998, the 748 Mono & 748 Biposta , is a Superbike for riders that appreciate the advantages of a smaller displacement, higher revving Ducati.
Starting at only $13295 you get all this with out the expense of the 996.
Note that while the 996 makes 112 HP at 9000 RPM, the 748s peak power of 98 horses arrives at 11,000
RPM, fully 2000 revs higher than its "big brother."
The 748 arrives in North America as the European Supersport Champion, is available in Ducati yellow with a white number plate painted on its solo seat tail section.
Ducati 999
and Ducati 998
The 996S
is the most significant
motorcycle, if not of all time, then certainly of the modem era. With 3 consecutive World Championships to it's credit, this rolling road sculpture has re-defined the high performance motorcycle.
The 996 Biposto
is also updated for 2001. It is simply a dual seat on the base 996 for those enthusiasts that want (or need) the ability to accommodate a passenger.
996 Biposto - Exclusive Features:
- Steel seat sub-frame to support the additional weight of a passenger.
- A rear shock absorber tuned to match the additional demands of two-up riding.
Both the 996 and the 996 Biposto combine surprising design elements
into a world beating package. Features include:
- A 90 degree, V-Twin engine with electronic fuel injection ; a slim, lightweight, dependable performer.
- Desmodromic positive valve actuation overcomes the performance limitations of conventional, inexpensive, spring controlled valves.
- A more expensive steel alloy perimeter frame results in a stable and confidence inspiring chassis.
While it is true that being different is no guarantee of being better, the design of the Ducati 916
delivers numerous advantages while avoiding the compromises expected from using such a unique
engineering approach.
The Ducati 996S and 996 Biposto are available in Ducati red or the very limited yellow version. And, as with every new Ducati, they are covered by a two year
warranty.
